Vanakkam Vanakkamunga looks like a musical storytelling by Puliyankulam Velmayil and Puliyankulam Kannan. Santhosh Narayanan must be appreciated for making sure the song's music doesn't compete with the lyrics. The lyrical value of Karuppi is high and the song is an abstract. Karuppi is not just a song about a dog, it is the cry of an oppressed soul. It seems like this song was written first and only then the music was composed, due to the extremely high lyrical value. I am currently learning from Selvam sir, who is based out of Nagapattinam.Karuppi was the first single track that released. So, I decided to get trained and got back this season. With everybody’s encouragement, I attended the auditions when I was in class three. I used to randomly sing at home and for my friends at school. They never thought life would give me this chance. My father works in a hardware shop and my mother is a housewife. My parents come from a modest background. My teachers have also helped me a lot as well. Without them, I wouldn’t have been able to do anything. I never expected to be selected for the finals. I am super happy and it has always been my dream to be on the show. ” The five participants were thrilled to reach the finals. They come with such raw talent and bring in so much to the table, in terms of personality.

Their maturity level and competitive spirit is amazing. I have seen different batches of seniors and juniors, but these kids are adorable.

The anchor of the show, Bhavana said, “I have been with them (the show) for the past five years.

The judges of the show, Ananth Vaidyanathan, Mano, Chithra and Malgudi Subha were busy motivating the participants and also gave them tips whenever needed. And this episode was even more interesting as the crew of an upcoming action film, Arun Vaidyanathan’s Nibunan starring Arjun Sarja, Prasanna and Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, walked in to the set to encourage the participants.

The anchors of the show - Bhavana and Ma Ka Pa Anand - kept it lively and interacted with their families, too. The finalists also had their family and friends supporting them during their performances. Chennai Times recently visited the set of Super Singer Junior and interviewed the five finalists - Monika, Dhanush, Prithika, Bavin and Gowri. And why wouldn’t it be?
